"These pictures pick out details that might not otherwise be noticed. For example with the insulator discs, each one weighs 10kg and is wider than a standard ruler, but when they are up above you it's easy to miss the details. I try to consider the true weight and majesty of pylons – how each one weighs many tons, reaches around 45 metres above you, and yet you pass them by every day. I hope these shots will demonstrate a pylon's gravitas and sense of purpose."
